Wear a hat or scarf
Direct sun exposure can damage the hair cuticle, making hair dry and brittle. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or tie a scarf to provide physical protection against UV rays, especially on sunny days.
Apply a hair sunscreen
Invest in a product specially designed to protect hair from UV rays. Hair sprays or creams with a sun protection factor (SPF) help prevent sun damage and preserve the color of treated hair.
Deeply hydrate
The sun can dry out hair, making it more prone to frizz and split ends. Use our monoï after-sun repair mask twice a week to restore lost hydration.
Avoid peak exposure hours
Avoid prolonged sun exposure during peak hours, usually between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If possible, stay in the shade to reduce direct sun impact on your hair.
Rinse your hair after swimming
If you go swimming in the ocean or pool, rinse your hair immediately afterward. Sea salt and chemicals in pool water can worsen sun damage. Use a moisturizing conditioner to restore your hair's balance.
